Bio of Robert Wiggins aka Wiggitone
Born into both music and ministry in Brooklyn NY, Robert Wiggins is the son of Doo-Wop record producer and singer Robert Wiggins Sr. and church pianist Aura Wiggins. Though his parents separated early, his mother’s music anchored him in the pews of the church, giving him a foundation of faith. As a teenager, Robert’s talents expanded from trumpet to keyboards, production, and vocals, leading him to perform with soul, R&B, and jazz greats throughout the 70s and 80s, including Barbara Joyce of BT Express, Oliver Lake, and Carlos Garnett. He also worked with producers such as Jeff Lane, Randy Muller, Donny Linton, Ray Reid, and William Anderson, while sharpening his skills in audio engineering and production.
In the 1990s, Robert toured for over 30 years with Charlie Thomas and The Drifters, sharing stages with The Temptations, The Spinners, Dion and the Belmonts, Little Anthony and the Imperials, The Marvelettes, and many more. Yet even in the spotlight of the R&B and Rock & Roll world, he remained deeply connected to his faith, serving as a church musician for ministries including Rev. A.R. Bernard, Creflo Dollar, Apostle K.C. Price, and Greater Emanuel Baptist Church in Harlem. He also recorded Rob & Aurae with his mother, blending sacred and soulful traditions.
Robert later embraced his pastoral calling, becoming an ordained minister and founding the House of Manasser Christian Ministries, producing broadcasts on Brooklyn Community Access Television. In 2018, he and his wife Nadine Thomas launched House of Lord Online Ministries and Wiggitone Records, where he now serves full time. His journey reflects how God transforms every chapter of life into testimony, showing that music is not only sound but also a vessel of sanctification and salvation.
